lazy saturday.

There isn't much going on today, but i realize it has been a while since i have updated everyone on what is going on.

i am getting along great with my roommates and i cannot wait to have the roommate night that we have planned for next thursday. i think it will be good for us all to hang out outside of the apt and work. by us all, i really mean whoever is able to get off work in time.

i went to magic kingdom today only to find out that my main gate pass had been canceled. real cool considering it was not suppose to be canceled until tomorrow (which would be fine considering i have to work most of the day). i was only at the park for about 2 hours though and come back here. i got fried. i have not worn sunscreen since i got here and today it caught up with me, im just glad that it does not hurt :/

things have been going better at work...i cant remember if i had told you or not how awful monday was. i was so close to walking out and never coming back. the people that i had been scheduled with were so incredibly lazy. if you are going to get a job, WORK IT. dont mosey around and wander off and all but disappear. it isnt so great for the 2 people that are having to cover everyone else's butts so we dont sink in the mess that is being left by every character that walks through that door. of course, i guess it was only a mess because me and the other girl that WERE working were getting so far behind. the amount of stuff that we have to do is insane when there are only 2 people doing it. it isnt fair at all. oh well, the last few days have been better so i have tried to forget monday ever happened. annnnnny way.

i want to take a second to say that i am missing some very important people back home. yes, i miss all of you so very much...but it is hard being away from my mommy and my nana, and my boys. i miss those little fur babies like crazy! mama sent me a picture of percy in her hat and it was sooooo cute!! i'll have to post it on here some time lol

it about made me cry though because the caption was "we miss you mommy" :'( 

i wouldnt trade this experience at all. not one little bit, but i wish i could bring everyone to me or bring disney to them. i miss my family, my bee, my pharmers, my wifee, my neeky, mi hermano, i miss everyone soooooo much! i took for granted all my off days this summer. it was like august 12th was never actually going to come and it was all really just a big dream. so, i stayed at home and just didnt do much and now i regret it because i missed so many great times with the people i love the most. listen to me. i sound like i wont be back in a few months or like i died. i am NOT ready to come home, not even a little bit, but i do wish i could see some of my people. let's skype/facetime soon.... ok? i need to see some of my family.

OOOOO! PHARMERS LIKE HEATHER AND BRIT! YOU HAVE IPHONES! LET ME FACETIME AT WORK ONE NIGHT! :) kthanks! also, thank you evie for giving me the cool term "pharmers", i like it and i will be keeping it. 

Every day of this journey has taught me something new. everything from enjoy the smallest smile, to embrace the hardest rain. something good comes from all of it!!!! it warms my heart so much to see all the tiny princesses, pirates, and space rangers. i love it so much to see the magic in their eyes. see the faces of someone's first glimpse at the castle. there is really nothing better in this world than that. the way there is a sudden glow, no matter the age of the person. i passed someone in magic kingdom today that was 100% blind and yet, he still had that glow. he still had the magic in his voice when he talked about how wonderful it all was. i love that there is something for everyone from every walk of life. it has been so great so far. even though i have my off days, i am still loving the choice i made to send in that application and i want to send a very big

It is getting to be crazy.

SORRY FOR ANY AND ALL TYPOS. THERE WILL BE QUITE A FEW BECAUSE I AM WAY TOO TIRED  TO READ WHAT EVER I JUST WROTE. ALSO, THIS IS A LONG ONE. SORRY.

Ok, so i know that it has been far too long since i have posted, but i have been incredibly busy. i really dont even know how i am functioning as a human being right now!!! im not even kidding, i go go go from the moment i clock in until the moment that i clock out. the first couple of days that i was on training were a mixture of sucky and wonderful. one day i got to put on some costumes. 

I WORE CINDERELLA'S DRESS. 

not some crappy walmart knock off. 

I WORE THE ACTUAL MADE FOR DISNEY WORLD FOR A PRINCESS, CINDERELLA DRESS. 

it didnt button because i am no disney size 8, but still, it went all the way up and that is what counts. i also go to "become friends with" daisy and stitch. :) i am perfect disney height for both :) 

speaking of disney sizes: THEY ARE AWFUL. they are the cause of depression and tears. it really is not fair that you come to this place that is supposed to be so wonderful, yet they make you feel so bad about yourself. i wear a size 12 pants which isnt that bad in todays america, but a size 12 here is not even close. in one style of the shorts i had to put on a SIZE TWENTY before it would even think about buttoning comfortably. luckily they were not my only style options and i could get a size 16 in the ones i have now. the costume i have to wear is already hideous, why do you have to make me feel bad about my body by screwing up the sizers, too? oh well. there is nothing i can do but to go forth and prosper, right? 

i have not really had time to go to the parks much, but i have went a few times. i met cinderella, mickey, and a few others. i have set a goal to meet as many characters as possible while i am here and i am bound and determined to do so. i feel like i have a decent number right now :) I have made some wonderful friends so far and i am so glad of that. a lot of people got to hear me say that i was so afraid that it would be a repeat of when i was at state and didnt make any friends.

****I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE A SECOND TO SAY THAT I REALIZE NOW THAT I MADE SOME OF THE BEST FRIENDS THAT I EVER HAD WHILE I WAS THERE AND I WOULD NOT TRADE THEM FOR A SINGLE THING IN THIS WORLD, JUST AT THE TIME I WAS CLOUDED IN THE BRAIN.****

WHAT I DO:
Yes, i basically work in a laundromat. i clean the costumes all day and hardly ever is there not at least 3 of our 5 washer/dryers going. it is constant. the moment a "friend of a character" or performer brings in their costume we are taking it out of the baskets, separating them, and placing them in a washer. there are performers coming in and out from early morning until 9:45 at night so there is no time for breathing. it isn't so bad though because i get to hang out in the royal closet from time to time because that is where all of the princess gowns, prince costumes, and villains are. so let me just tell you, that is my absolute favorite place. I have only been in a few times though.  Today there was an emergency with Ariel's costume and we had to rush her a new one. I also get to build the costumes so they are ready to just step into and go. building them just means i get all the components and secure them together: pads, rings, fur, clothing, accessories. it is really fun, but some of them are crazy. the big bears have to be stepped into because they are so incredibly large. i know it sounds lame and sometimes it really is, but most of the time it is pretty great. i get to see so many people come in that just made some child's, or even adult's, dream come true and i know that i had the biggest part in that because, without me there would be no costume ready for them to put on. :)

i will try really hard to do better and keep yall updated more often, but i cant make promises! i miss everyone back home and cannot wait to see you again soon.

Disneyesque Happenings

HELLO FAMILY AND FRIENDS

I don't even know where to start!!! So much has happened in the last few days. I have made some amazing friends and made my room more homey with my SWEET Duck D blanket :) <3 I have been "adopted" as an honorary roommate in Caitlyn's apartment. I guess I am ok with that ;)

Yesterday there was a housing event. Woody's Roundup or something or other. It was a hotdog bbq and Woody/Jesse themed. I got to meet Jesse and Bullseye :D!! I also had Traditions yesterday which is my first official day of work. Mickey came in to congratulate all of the new CP's then when we went on the mini Magic Kingdom tour i saw Jasmine, Prince Eric, Wendi and Peter (they gave all the CP's a shout out and told us good luck), and Merida. It was so wonderful seeing my wonderful dream home for the first time in years... CINDERELLA'S CASTLE!!! Too bad I will never actually be able to live there lol. It was kind of miserable though because I was in black slacks and a long sleeve cover up because my batman tattoo doesn't exactly fit the "Disney Look". 

After the housing event the new "roommates" and I went to the pool for roughly 8 million hours but it was soooo much fun and so many inside jokes were created.

Tonight we are going to Magic Kingdom since we all finally have our passes. Let me just tell you I am beyond excited!!! Then Sunday is roommate day because by some miracle every one in my apartment is off work. We are going to explore all of the parks so look forward to all of those pictures :) <3

Oh! Random thing.... the Walmart here is massive. About 12 of our stupid store could fit into it! I was slightly jealous by it until I couldn't find anything and all of the employee's that asked couldn't understand what I was asking for. I was getting super irritated  but I tried staying calm because I have to remember that I am no longer in tiny Franklin and I am now in a big city were diversity is the main happening. Oh well, I will get used to it I am sure.
