friday the 13th villian invasion

oh my lort. so i went to the friday the 13th villain take over at hollywood studios tonight and it was the most nutso experience in the history of the world. let me break it down for you:

1. leave the apt at roughly 7 pm

2. sit in traffic for over an hour with plans of just parking at disney boardwalk

3. find out the only space available for dbw is valet, we are CP's. aint nobody got money for that. so, we had to drive to epcot bc every single resort had closed its parking lot as well.

4. get to epcot and go to the bus line. the lady in front of was on the phone with a friend who had already gotten on the epcot-->studio's bus and had been on it for 2 solid hours in traffic so we decided to just not

5. go into epcot with the thought process of riding the ferry over to studios, missed it. the line was crazy long and it only came every 20 minutes any way so it wouldnt have been worth it.

6. made the decision to just walk to studios through boardwalk. so if you have ever been to disney world, this is a minor trek.

7. arrive at studios and get through the line to enter the park at 9:23 (this part is important for later information that we received).

8. wait in line for oogy boogy for an hour and half and even though we could see him we gave up and decided just do a drive by photo shoot because we probably had another hour or more to wait and the set up was 2 characters rotated out, so by the time we even got to the line it might not have been him any more it would have been jafar.

9. just went around and took pictures of the villains that were doing meet and greets to avoid lines.

10. go to the most amazing firework show i have ever seen in my entire life. (it is about 11 ish at this point, maybe later). they were goin off with villain music in the background and they just kept going and going. there were so many times that we thought it was the finale, but they would continue. they were so perfect.

11. walk over to tower of terror so caitlyn could speak to her friends she works with.

12. find out from her coordinator that the park was at capacity and  at 10 pm they stopped letting people in. SO if we would have waited on the ferry or the bus we wouldnt have even been able to go in. they were having to let 5 people go in for every 5 that left.

13. we later passed a girl that was just a few people behind us in the oogy boogy line and she was telling someone she had waited for 3 hours to meet him. insane. this was his first time ever coming out so it was a big deal.

all in all this was the most unorganized event disney has ever put on. i dont think that they had any idea what exactly they were getting themselves into and i dont think they really thought it would have such a large turn out. the coordinator said that capacity probably trumped new years, easily. CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT?! it was so crazy. it was fun though. it was fun to people watch, i just wish there would have been easier and better chances to meet the villains. maybe this will be the push that disney needs to send the villains out more. people love them. heck we probably only watch the movies for the villains! :)

i will post pictures soon. i know i keep saying that. and it keeps not happening.
